A Message From Ontario Command
HAPPY NEW YEAR.
We now have the pieces in place to move the Burns Way to the next stage. The app has been available for download for the past couple of months and we have continued to train our first flight of Peer Advocates, so today we are announcing that the Burns Way is ready to accept its first Veteran guests.

The Burns Way website has been updated so that it will be easy and intuitive for Veterans seeking connections to access the chat platform from their desktop computers. Browser access also means that Veterans can connect from public computers if they do not have one at home or do not have a smart device.
In preparation for this launch, we have asked our peers to make themselves available as much as possible in the first couple of weeks to respond to Veterans looking for help or simply looking to check out the program. As the Peer Advocates are volunteers, there may be times when there is nobody online or they are all engaged in chats. Please be patient and come back again soon.
Thank you for your ongoing interest in the Burns Way. This announcement is gratifying for everyone who has been involved in the program’s development over the past eight years and we are proud to be able to offer the service to Canadian Veterans seeking a new way to receive support.
